experiences:

Best Memories: Operation Smoke Watch into the Barents Sea. Our crew functioned as one. We were one team committed to surveillance of the Soviet Navy. Engineering was a great department to be associated with. We had a great Captain, great crew and an excellent wardroom. My biggest thrill was that the captain allowed me to approach and photograph close aboard surfaced submarines--without his even coming to the bridge. The confidence he had in me will never be forgotten.
